Personal Experience
Julia Furley is a senior barrister and founding partner of JFH Law, bringing with her a wealth of experience gained from over 10 years at the Independent Bar before establishing JFH Law in 2010.
Julia advises businesses in all aspects of company law and employment law, and represents companies and individuals appearing before the courts, employment tribunal and appeal tribunal. She also provides training seminars and lectures in company and employment law to businesses and associations. In addition, Julia represents clients appearing before professional panels, such as the General Medical Council and General Dental Council.
Known for her meticulous case preparation, the outstanding results Julia achieves are a testament to her dedication to each and every case she is instructed in. She is a persuasive and powerful advocate, who has enjoyed a number of recent successes, both in the Crown Court and the Court of Appeal.

Sexual Harrassment Claim
Representing a client in an allegation of serious sexual harassment within the workplace. Ultimately negotiating a sizeable settlement and ensuring that the client received a positive reference.
Shareholder Dispute
Represented the directors of a large company accused of misappropriating company funds.
GDC Specialist List Application - Periodontics
Successfully represented a Pakistani periodontist in her appeal against the decision of the GDC not to enter onto the Specialist List, under “route 1” equivalence.
GDC Specialist List Application - Endodontics
Successfully represented an Italian Endodontist in their appeal against the decision not to enter him onto the GDC Specialist list, under “route 2”, knowledge and experience.
GDC Specialist List - Prosthodontics
Successfully represented an Indian dentist in his appeal against the decision of the GDC not to enter him onto the GDC specialist list in prosthodontics under route 2, “knowledge and experience”.
GDC Fitness to Practice
Advising a GDP on fitness to practice allegations, including allegations of fraud. This was complex case which involved not only the GDC procedures, but also allegations of fraud against the NHS.
