FREE workshop – Employment Law; understanding the basics
Laura Pearce, one of JFH Law’s specialists in employment law, delivered a workshop on Employment Law, understanding the basics, in association with Building Legacies. This talk took place on the 30th of November from 9 am to 1 pm at Good Hotel London, Royal Victoria Dock Western Gateway, London, E16 1FA.
Recruitment process; avoid mistakes, make savings
In this workshop, Laura guided you through the recruitment process so you employ the best candidate for your business. She then helped you determine what type of contract to offer new staff – employment, worker or consultancy. Once you know what contract to offer your staff, you need to understand the legal and statutory duties for each of these categories. Finally, Laura sets out the rights you must provide, including holiday pay, statutory payments and pension auto-enrolment.
